Where to go to have your number 1 holiday? Try the Caribbean!

by admin on Jan.28, 2010, under Uncategorized

Right everybody, the holiday season is on its way again, well at least the booking of this holiday is going to be on it’s way. However we need to look at the top location to visit in the world, and that is set to be the Caribbean. So you have your holiday heading in the right direction, but there are a whole bunch of islands to choose from, which should you stick to, and which should you leave alone.

There is an island in the Caribbean that stands out from the rest with regards to being the most popular. St Lucia has got to be the number 1 holiday, there is a remarkable amount of diversity on this island. What an island, filled with spa resorts and relaxing places for you to chill out at. Spa days and swimming in the ocean, if this is what makes your perfect sunny holiday, then you have to make that effort to visit St Lucia. If you want to take your whole family on a Caribbean holiday and know they are safe, this is regarded as one of the safest islands in the Caribbean. The staff and the living quarters are amazing, you will be hard pressed to find a single bad review about them anywhere. Some of these hotels even go to extra lengths and even provide a free safari trip into the forest of St Lucia.

OK now for the place i would really recommend leaving, probably not the best option for a holiday. There is one island that springs to mind, and for one very powerful reason. Right at the bottom of the Caribbean, in a south easterly direction, you meet Trinidad. Now this island has a somewhat bad reputation with tourists, and fore one very powerful reason. Trinidad has a very bad reputation in the Caribbean for being the most dangerous place to holiday. You want a reason not to go to Trinidad well that was it. If I were you I head to St Lucia!

So the Caribbean holidays are just around the corner, where are you going to go, how do St Lucia holidays sound, maybe you like the clubbing lifestyle, in which case Barbados holidays are the best option!

Hmmm, ever thought about driving through a Volcano?

by admin on Nov.19, 2009, under Uncategorized

I was waiting to book my holiday till around Christmas time this year, so that I could take the family on a nice holiday to the Caribbean. I just managed to grab a fantastic holiday to St Lucia at the last minute, and we went to St Lucia last year. If i hadn’t had so much to do when i came back from my holiday, i would have written about this sooner. However now I am booking a holiday back to the same place, I thought I would share my experience with you.

As we landed at St Lucia International Airport, we got a taxi and headed straight to our hotel. We were staying at the Le Sport hotel and the rooms were gorgeous. The Beach and the forest in the centre of the island, were the two main places we spent most of our time.

Now although I knew that there was a Volcano on the island, I had never really thought that we could go and see it. The Last time i went to a Volcano was in Greece, near the island of Kos. The St Lucia Sulphur Springs is the only Drive in Volcano in the world. This Volcano is Dormant, so there is nothing for you to worry about, just that if the smell of sulphur fades, this means the Volcano is preparing to Erupt!

There are points in the Crater where the water and mud is boiling. It is because of this that walking through the Volcano is a No, when a tour guide was showing people around, he fell straight into a boiling puddle. After the Tour guide had his mishap (he didn’t die by the way) walking was no longer allowed, and you could only drive. There were some truly amazing colours layered all the way around the Volcano, and the smell of Sulphur was extremely strong. This sort of opportunity shouldn’t be passed up, so definitely give it a go. So I am definitely going back there to visit the Volcano again.

For St Lucia holidays, Barbados holidays and Christmas holidays, you should consider contacting a tour operator immediately.
