The Congress Centre is found just off the Placa de Espanya, arguably the most significant square in the city. The roads that intersect here make this a very popular spot, and it’s not hard to get to either.

If you are in Barcelona for business only, then try to base yourself as close to the square as possible. If you get a few spare hours, this area of the city will provide you with lots of cultural activities to take part in. Sant Antoni is one of the subdivisions of Eixample and offers some cultural attractions like fine dining and wine bars. The best thing about Sant Antoni, however, is that it is about as close you can get to the Congress Centre without leaving the city centre.

The transport connections in Barcelona are so good that you can even base yourself a bit further out. This will give you more options on where to stay depending on the kind of trip you are after. The bus and rail routes in the city take you around all of the most notable areas, and the congress centre is one of them.

Being in the city for business, the chances are you are just looking for somewhere clean and comfortable. Closest to the Placa de Espanya is the Arc de Triomf neighbourhood, which offers each of these requirements. It is not the most prestigious area of the city but is home to lots of pleasant places to stay.

And if you happen to have some free time, Arc de Triomf if is in an ideal position to allow you to walk to the majority of the city’s best-loved sites. For shopping the AvingudaDiagonal is not far away, and neither is the cathedral.

And right next door you’ll find the Parc de la Ciutadella, where you can find some much needed rest and relaxation from what could be a busy week.

When you are in Barcelona on business at the Congress Centre, there are lots of accommodation options available to you. And you’ll never be too far away, or too busy, to sample the city’s best attractions.
