Hmmm, ever thought about driving through a Volcano?
by admin on Nov.19, 2009, under Uncategorized
I was waiting to book my holiday till around Christmas time this year, so that I could take the family on a nice holiday to the Caribbean. I just managed to grab a fantastic holiday to St Lucia at the last minute, and we went to St Lucia last year. If i hadn’t had so much to do when i came back from my holiday, i would have written about this sooner. However now I am booking a holiday back to the same place, I thought I would share my experience with you.
As we landed at St Lucia International Airport, we got a taxi and headed straight to our hotel. We were staying at the Le Sport hotel and the rooms were gorgeous. The Beach and the forest in the centre of the island, were the two main places we spent most of our time.
Now although I knew that there was a Volcano on the island, I had never really thought that we could go and see it. The Last time i went to a Volcano was in Greece, near the island of Kos. The St Lucia Sulphur Springs is the only Drive in Volcano in the world. This Volcano is Dormant, so there is nothing for you to worry about, just that if the smell of sulphur fades, this means the Volcano is preparing to Erupt!
There are points in the Crater where the water and mud is boiling. It is because of this that walking through the Volcano is a No, when a tour guide was showing people around, he fell straight into a boiling puddle. After the Tour guide had his mishap (he didn’t die by the way) walking was no longer allowed, and you could only drive. There were some truly amazing colours layered all the way around the Volcano, and the smell of Sulphur was extremely strong. This sort of opportunity shouldn’t be passed up, so definitely give it a go. So I am definitely going back there to visit the Volcano again.
For St Lucia holidays, Barbados holidays and Christmas holidays, you should consider contacting a tour operator immediately.
Why are all holidays for Christmas booked in September and October, but no later!

Have Christmas holidays already started to drop in bookings? These Christmas holidays are no longer as easy to book near Christmas as they have been in past years. Christmas time for the holiday’s district, sales reach a peak in September and October, then fall dramatically in November.
So what is the reason for these dramatic falls in holiday searches and bookings? If you want to try and get the Christmas holiday that you want, you should try and book in advance. Booking a Christmas holiday should take place a good few months before the 25th of December. Many don’t want to book holidays close to Christmas because it can be very stressful even just around Christmas time. Having to pile on the stress of booking a holiday just before Christmas can be annoying even for the most organised of people.
So the best option is to look at these holidays around September and the latest October, then to just forget about it. Not only are these holidays difficult for someone to find, but they are very popular and get booked fast. Cuba holidays or Egypt holidays are very difficult to arrange towards Christmas time. We all know that it isn’t easy to get the holiday you want around Christmas, because people book these holidays fast and early.
Barbados and St Lucia have also been popular this year, people have been trying to book holidays to these places in September, only to find they are all booked up. There are only a few select places around where you can still find holidays to Exotic and luxury locations still available. Many tour operators have had to cancel holidays that they have been offering, because they are already sold out.
Hopefully you have your Christmas holidays already booked, otherwise it could be very difficult to get one now, especially seeing as we are getting so close to the recession, and not to mention the deals were so good.
Holidays at Christmas can be tricky to arrange, so try one of these!

So are you looking where the best places for Christmas holidays are this year? Time is running out and you don’t have time to research locations. SO here are the top 3 places in the world that you could go to for your Christmas holiday this year:
Barbados. This is for the family, the Discovery Bay by Rex Resorts, a great Christmas holiday. Although this is a top quality luxury resort, the prices are not that expensive. There are some clear and peaceful beaches, with very clear waters. Bridgetown is the closest place to venture too from this hotel, and is not too mention the largest and most vibrant town in Barbados. Barbados is considered the party island of the Caribbean.
The Island that is St Lucia. This hotel offers some great accommodation, the Le Sport is known world wide for great service and treatments. Every room in the hotel has air conditioning so you can be kept cool all day, and non stop room service. So there will be no need to even leave your room. If your a golfing person then this a great holiday location for you, although saying that, there are other activities as well from, fencing to archery. All of these activities come with training as well. If you have a little more money to burn, you can head down to the Capital of St Lucia, Castries, to get some much wanted shopping done This is close to St Lucia.
The Maldives. Welcome to by far the priciest of all the locations the “Lily Beach Resort and Spa”. This hotel is considered by many to be a 6 star hotel, and looking at the accommodation you won’t be surprised. If you want somewhere to stay where you can get away from people and spend a week or two in the middle of nowhere, then this is as close to heaven that you are going to get. This particular Maldives island is quite small but has a small tropical rain forest at its centre, the Hotel is actually situated above the sea itself. Probably one of the most beautiful hotels in the world.
Maldives holidays, Dubai holidays and Sri Lanka holidays are well on the rise and this is thanks to the holidays on offer.
Do you want to go abroad for your Christmas holiday?

It is that time already; Christmas is knocking on the door and announcing that it is on the way. Christmas may seem a long way off, but it is already starting the festive frenzy. This is the time to start planning, the time to even start getting presents sorted. Now it is time for everyone to decide, where the Christmas holiday will be spent this year?
Usually families meet up, they go to each others houses and spent a cosy winters day together. Although these families have been meeting up every year, they seem to be making a different choice now. What’s strange, is that the Christmas holiday overseas is really looking like the big thing. People want to start going to another country and combine an already great holiday time with another. And to be honest I don’t blame them. Christmas can be a very stressful time, what with getting presents ready, making sure that Santa is going to come down the Chimney for the kids (or in my house, through the door).
Why not book a holiday, not just for you and the family to enjoy over Christmas, but for you to relax after a few previous months hard work. Should we really feel like we are dreading the coming of Christmas? Although some like the experience of being at home for Christmas, you certainly can’t knock the idea of having a holiday overseas, at least not until you have tried it.
The Caribbean has been quite a popular place for people to embark on these Christmas holidays. Especially the chance to go to St Lucia or Barbados and enjoy winter holidays in the baking sun. This holiday can also work as a gift for the whole family as well. Asking your family what they would like to do and then saving up for a single holiday through the year at Christmas, could benefit you all.
